Name Climbing turns Level turns Ballistic roll Loop
Bob 9/10 10/10 8.5/10 8.5/10
Extra manoeuvre N/A Total 36/50 (72%)
A good showing for a first time qualified pilot (absolute novices can find it easier). In the end low cloud and time constraints cramped our sortie, so returned to Shobdon for tea and medals with extra manoeuvre untried.
Eric 7/10 9/10 6/10 6/10
Extra manoeuvre (reverse half Cuban) 6.5/10 Total 34.5/50 (69%)
A good flight - Eric thought about what he was doing – which didn’t prevent him inventing a couple of new manoeuvres! Also made a very commendable attempt at the extra manoeuvre at the end of the flight.
Lewis 9/10 10/10 7/10 7.5/10
Extra manoeuvre (reverse half cuban) N/A Total 33.5/50 (67%)
A very promising start - had Lewis attempted the extra manoeuvre then he may have certainly been the winner. Shows much promise for the future!
Jon 8/10 10/10 6/10 7.5/10
Extra manoeuvre (reverse half Cuban) 2/10 Total 33.5/50 (67%)
A very promising start for an absolute beginner. John kept right on top of things for most of the sortie, which is unusual.
Sue 6/10 10/10 N/A N/A
Extra manoeuvre N/A Total 16/50 (32%)
Manoeuvres not attempted, in spite of much promise in the turning phase. Sue enjoyed having my aeros inflicted
on her – which is a rare quality in itself and much harder than doing it yourself.
