First Impressions Count

I am a level 3 ILEX student in my second year. I came to Kidwells in September to do two days work experience. I felt at home in the Company and everyone was extremely welcoming. Whilst I was doing my work experience I was told about a secretaries position advertised. I had  no experience in law other than the work experience I had done at Kidwells and one other firm but I asked  if I could apply for the job as I had been looking for work in a law firm to go alongside my studies but had not had much luck and I wanted to get my name out. As I had not had any experience I did not think I would get the job so I was shocked when I got a phone call asking me to come in for an interview for the job. I was also thrilled when I got the call as I wanted to be a part of the firm and spent the night before preparing for the interview. I came in for my interview and that afternoon I had a phonecall saying that Kidwells would like to offer me the position. I was so happy when I got offered the job and couldn’t quite believe that I had got it. I started in October and I am loving my job. I am still learning but everyone is more than happy to help me with any questions I have.

It just goes to show that work experience really can get you further. I didn’t believe it could before Kidwells but perseverance and making a good impression can get you very far.

In other companies most employers needed is a work experience and the other is the best performance if you have these two or just the work experience it will go you further than you expected.
