The Sky's The Limit

What a fantastic day, it was good to catch up with some old friends as the weather was so good that it encouraged the fair weather boys (myself included) out to the airfield. Of course we were running a competition for aerobatics that I was not flying in so I was just totally enjoying myself with the aircrafts flying around, good food and the joviality of the pilots and the massive excitement of the competition members. Paul Stanley, the pilot can be seen in the picture holding the fuel dipper to measure the amount of fuel in the tank (yes it is that technical!!) a friend of mine was supposed to be reading the litres of pumped fuel from the pump but was stood in front of a different pump to the one we were using, this obviously caused me to laugh but it soon all turned against me when Paul said that one day, one of his students was reading the cost of the fuel and not the litres when fuelling the aeroplane (the weight of the fuel is important believe it or not, not the cost!) all of a sudden it became obvious that earlier when I was watching the readings on the pumps, I was reading the cost then and not the litres delivered, the joke was on me and I bet it sticks, as a lawyer I must be too well trained to see the money and not the litres. Although I do not accept this point, it made all of us laugh and I must say it was the best day I have had for some considerable time.
I would like to thank everybody who attended to support us and who enjoyed the day, it really was very memorable.
