Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. Macmillan provides practical, medical and financial support and pushes for better cancer care.

In Herefordshire Macmillan offers widespread support across all of these areas through 3 teams of Macmillan nurses and specialists based at Hereford Hospitals, St Michael’s Hospice and Bromyard Community Hospital. Last year alone over £34,000 in grants helped people affected by cancer living in Herefordshire.

In Macmillan’s centenary year, 2011, will see the opening of the Macmillan Renton Unit at Hereford Hospitals. This state-of-the-art chemotherapy unit has been largely funded thanks to the generosity of local supporters in Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and Powys.
